Objects have been teleported into the Bar of varying complexities and a live human has been teleported out on at least one occasion. Other attempts to teleport live humans have resulted in the human appearing inside a solid object and dying.

Data was acquired that detailed positional coordinates suggesting targeting data for the teleportation device.

Several sets of scans of residual energy have been taken, along with medical scans of the people that teleported into trees.

Combining the stolen data and the scans, a crude program has been written that can be uploaded to any set of scientific instruments. If the instruments are used to scan a teleportation event site within 60 seconds of it occurring then a reasonable direction of return travel can be predicted. If two or preferably three sets of such data can be acquired it should be possible to determine the exact location of the teleport departure site.
