The Air Like Jam Anomaly

This anomaly emits some kind of radiation from the soil which affects gas molecules. The molecules bond together in some unknown fashion, giving the air a thick texture. Walking through the anomaly is extremely difficult, akin to walking underwater. Freelancers were paid to detonate an explosive device in the anomaly and take readings whilst doing so. The explosion was largely contained within the anomaly and the nature of the air reduced the blast considerably. Reading…

The Black Flower anomaly appears to produce a regenerative compound within the soil that is then contained and further refined within black flowers similar to roses that grow within the anomaly. If cuttings or samples are taken, the black flower very quickly regenerates the damage done to it. If the flower is picked a new flower grows within a few minutes.

This anomaly has several small visible markers that appear to be small rods covered in calcified deposits. Anyone stepping within 25-30cm of one of these markers is transported somewhere else as yet unidentified. Molecular energy levels are lower than normal and energy appears to be flowing from the anomaly into the target location. People and objects that have been transported can be returned by sending a large amount of energy in the form of heat through to the anomaly'…

The Briar Patch Anomaly

The soil in this anomaly is saturated with a viscous compound that is both strongly acidic and highly adhesive. Anyone stepping onto the soil here becomes stuck in place and the acid rapidly burns through clothing, armour etc and then the flesh of the victim. Early scans suggest the acid dissolves almost all organic material and most metals. It has not yet been tested with glass or plastics, but damage done to footwear suggests plastics will also dissolve.

This anomaly massively amplifies air currents around it. A breeze that blows in becomes a 70mph wind as it enters the anomaly and does not slow down as it leaves. Winds do drop eventually but are not contained within the bounds of the anomaly. People exhaling heavily produce enough of a directed air current to blow somebody over when amplified.

All organic and inorganic matter within this anomaly slowly becomes more and more electrically conductive over time, until all matter is fully conductive.

Electrical and electronic devices short out after about 90 seconds as increased conductivity in what should be insulating materials causes massive short circuits. It remains to be seen whether or not data stored on destroyed devices can still be retrieved.

The soil in this anomaly is saturated with a biological accelerant of some kind. As a result the plant life in the anomaly (predominantly grass) grows and decays at a phenomenal rate. The speed and nature of the decay causes rapid fermentation of the decaying matter, saturating the air above the ground with alcohol vapour. Test subjects reported severe drunkenness within about 30 seconds. Based on scans and test data it would appear lethal alcohol poisoning would occur …

This anomaly is possibly misnamed as the enlarged bees within it are possibly a by-product rather than the core of the anomaly itself. The anomaly itself has a mutagenic compound saturated into the soil. This compound has then leached into the plant life and mutated it. It also appears to have then mutated bees that fed off those plants. This last supposition requires further field testing.

The Seymour Anomaly

The soil in this anomaly appears to be highly radioactive, mutating the plant life that grows in it. In the only example of this anomaly found so far, a single large plant was growing that gave off highly toxic pheromones inducing comas in those that came too close. It is currently unclear if this plant is a consistent side-effect of this anomaly or just a one-off in the specific instance discovered.

The Swiss Cheese Anomaly

Specific points within this anomaly cause an individual stepping into them to teleport to another specific point. It takes a few seconds for the anomaly to recharge before a second teleport can happen. Experiencing multiple surges may have adverse side effects.

The Bends Anomaly

Air pressure within this anomaly fluctuates wildly. The fluctuations vary between quite slow changes to near-instant swings. The rapid swings have caused lung injuries and burst eardrums.

Research Starting Points

Study the readings and the anomalous radiation responsible for the pressure changes.
