Event 14 Rumours

Several people have been enquiring at bars and faction bases about a hunter called John Peel. No bounties have been posted yet, but offers of cash for stories, sightings and verifiable information have all been made. The level of interest would suggest a certain degree of fame but as yet no-one seems to have heard of him.
Stories have come in about someone slaughtering bandits along some of the more popular courier routes. The violence all seems to be at the hands of a single individual wearing a suit of armour that seems to be utterly impervious to small arms fire. It isn't clear exactly why this individual is on this rampage, but there are more than a few suggestions.

Several freelancers have been openly expressing support for at least some of Elias's ideas. Whilst they're not on board with the bombings and the terrorism, the idea that freelancers are getting the shitty end of the stick is taking hold and many are advocating for some kind of organisation or union to represent all the freelancers in negotiation with the bars, rather than competition or conflict.

The last three or four surviving Hidden are trying to reconstitute the faction. Very few observers give them much hope of success, but a handful of less scrupulous individuals have noted that the Hidden have a large archive of unethical scientific work squirreled away somewhere that must be worth a fortune. It's likely to be very lightly defended…

Someone, somewhere is brewing their own beer on a scale large enough to sell it. There are very few takers for some reason.

After Action Report

Reports have been coming in from multiple areas about strange, feral humanoids with no mouths attacking travelers. They are attacking people with their bare hands then burying the corpses. No-one seems very clear on what these things are, but they are still dressed in human clothes, and a few witnesses have identified former friends and colleagues they thought had died from personal clothing and accoutrements. Various Bars have sent out missions to investigate, at great cost, and bounties are being posted for useful information.

A group of freelancers have travelling around, trying to get other freelancers to sign up to a code of conduct. Rumour has it that they have brought the so-called Manor House Mob on board, suggesting this is an idea that may actually take hold.

Five freelancer groups were all given the same job simultaneously. There was supposedly a sixth meant to be there, but they failed to take the job. By all accounts the job was a massacre with only a handful of survivors. Several freelancers have pointed to this debacle as the reason the code of conduct is needed. Calls for freelancers to unify have only grown louder, but this sentiment is definitely being used by Elias to recruit.

Several freelancer groups have reported the sudden disappearance of one of their members. In each case, the individual took watch and wasn't there when everyone woke up. No-one knows where these individuals went, and the only thing they have in common is wearing a security helmet with a flag on it.
