Reputation

The referee team will be tracking the reputation of each individual freelancer. It runs on a scale from 0 to 5.

ReputationDescription
0Pond scum. You have been ostracised from Rutherford's and will most likely be shot on sight. If there isn't a contract on you there soon will be
1Barely tolerated. You will receive lower mission pay, you will find yourself left with the missions no-one else wants, and one or more factions want you dead
2Rookie. Newly arrived, you are something of an unknown quantity. Try not to piss anyone off. Failing that you're an experienced freelancer who did something stupid and is building their rep up again.
3Old hand. You've run a few missions, made a few credits and gathered some useful contacts. Most experienced freelancers are around this level. Some missions will pay out a little extra and you might find the Barkeep a little more generous in trades.
4Hero. Your name is known across the region as a reliable freelancer. Earning this level of reputation means you did something worthy of a few campfire stories and had your fellow freelancer's backs when it counted. All missions pay out a little extra and you might find a few more side missions come your way.
5Legend. Your name is known across the Zone and your deeds are legendary. You are the subject of endless campfire tales, and are held up as an example to the rookies. You can sometimes command your own price for your skills on missions.
